Sound REPORT
A creative party game about listening, language, and imagination.
Sound Report is an original listening game that transforms sound into conversation. Players listen to carefully crafted sound recordings and respond through language, describing what they hear, imagine, and feel. Rather than searching for the correct answer, the game celebrates curiosity, creativity, and the many ways sound shapes our perception of the world.
What is Sound Report?
Sound Report is an original listening game that transforms sound into conversation.
Players listen to carefully curated sound recordings and respond through creative prompts, using language to describe what they hear, imagine, and feel. Every round becomes an exploration of perspective, revealing how the same sound can evoke entirely different stories, emotions, and memories.
There are no correct answers.
Only new ways of listening.
“Sound Report doesn't ask players to guess what they hear. It invites them to explore what they hear.”

Why I Created Sound Report
As a post-production sound designer, I spend much of my time talking about sound. What surprised me over the years was that the most meaningful conversations were rarely technical.
Directors rarely ask for more reverb or less compression.
Instead, they say:
"Make it feel lonely."
"Like the memory of a storm."
"The room feels too empty."
"It needs more tension."
We instinctively describe sound through emotion, memory, imagery, and story.
That observation became the foundation of Sound Report.
I wanted to create an experience where listening becomes an act of creativity where there are no right answers, only new ways of listening. Every player hears the same sound, yet each person brings their own experiences, imagination, and emotions to what they hear.
Sound Report celebrates those differences, transforming listening into conversation and reminding us that every sound carries the potential to tell a story.
While Sound Report is designed as a creative party game, its purpose extends far beyond game night. It can also be used as an educational resource for classrooms, a creative tool for writers and artists, a workshop activity for filmmakers and sound professionals, or simply as a way to inspire meaningful conversations through listening.
At its core, Sound Report is an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and discover the many ways sound shapes the stories we tell.
Designed Through Sound
Every sound in Sound Report has been intentionally selected and designed as part of the experience.
Drawing on my background in post-production sound, I curated a library of recordings that encourage imagination rather than recognition. Instead of asking players to identify what they hear, each sound is chosen for its ability to evoke emotion, memory, atmosphere, and storytelling.
Some sounds feel familiar.
Others are abstract.
Some reveal themselves immediately.
Others become richer with every listen.
The Sound Library is the heart of Sound Report, inviting players to slow down, listen deeply, and discover how differently we interpret the same sonic experience.
Built by a Sound Designer
